FORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL ARTIST RESIDENCY

Overview
South Lanarkshire Council organised a programme of artists’ residency in Primary Schools throughout South Lanarkshire in 2006.  Julia from Deepfired was invited to spend 15 days in Forth Primary School situated near Lanark.  She divided her time evenly between making sculptural work inspired by the local history of mining and facilitating a series of workshops for Primary 6.  All the work produced during the residency was exhibited at the Carluke Town Hall along with three other projects.
