OXGANG PRIMARY SCHOOL 40TH ANNIVERSARY MURAL In 1968 ceramic artist Margery Clinton was commissioned to create a permanent artwork to celebrate the opening of the then new Oxgang Primary School. 40 years on, the school wanted to mark the occasion and asked me to make a contemporary ceramic artwork which complimented Margery's artwork and involved the pupils and parents in it's creation. Pupils came up with ideas of what they wanted to see represented in the mural such as school activities, the natural and the built environment and then tile making workshops were held in the school.
