BOTANIC GARDENS POETRY POST BOX
Overview
Stewart Ennis, Glasgow based actor thought of the Poetry Post Box idea. Having performed and run workshops in the Botanics Gardens he wanted to create something interactive which could be part of future events. The idea is people post poems in the Poetry Post Box and they will be uploaded this website. The poems may be performed at organised events in the park.
Julia worked with primary 6s from St. Charles Primary School designing and creating ceramic hybrid creatures. Pupils visited the Botanics and sketched plants, insects and animals they saw there and then came up with combinations of them and wrote poems about their creations. The creatures can be found hidden amongst the foliage on the Poetry Post Box.
